Bagas31: Tor Browser is a browser that allows you to protect yourself from online surveillance, censorship, and tracking. It runs on the Tor network, which consists of thousands of volunteer servers called Tor relays. Your traffic is encrypted and sent through three relays before reaching the desired site. This makes your online experience anonymous and safe.
Tor Browser has several advantages over regular browsers:
- It isolates every site you visit so third-party trackers and ads can’t follow you. Cookies are automatically deleted after you have finished browsing. So does your browsing history.
- It prevents anyone monitoring your connection from knowing what sites you visit. All anyone monitoring your online activity can see is that you are using Tor.
- It resists fingerprints. Tor Browser strives to make all users the same, making it difficult to identify you based on information about your browser and device.
- You can freely visit sites that are blocked on your home network.
