Bagas31: Strum GS is a plug-in synthesizer for creating acoustic and electric guitar parts that is based on physical modeling and does not use samples or wavetables.
Strum GS simulates the sound of a guitar by solving mathematical equations in real time that describe the guitar’s various components and their interactions. The plugin allows you to customize the parameters of strings, frets, pickups, amplifier and effects, as well as select the type and shape of the guitar.
Strum GS recognizes the chords you play on the Keyboard and automatically selects appropriate guitar fingerpicks. The chord library includes basic and extended chords in open, moving, power chords or drop voicings. You can play the chords you know and the Strum GS will sound like a real guitarist.

Strum GS has three playing modes: Keyboard Mode, Guitar Mode and Loop Mode. In Keyboard Mode, you can play melodies and solos on the Keyboard using hammer-on and pull-off techniques. In Guitar Mode, you can play chords using dedicated fingerpicking and arpeggio Keys. In Loop Mode you can use a large collection of recorded loops for different styles of music.
Strum GS has a simple and user-friendly interface, which consists of three views: Play View, Edit View and Effects View. In Play View you can select the playing mode, guitar type, chords and fingerpicks, as well as control the modulation wheel and sustain pedal. In Edit View, you can adjust settings for strings, frets, and pickups. In Effects View, you can select and adjust the amp and effects.
Strum GS supports multiple audio formats and resolutions, including 64-bit processing. The plugin also supports oversampling up to 4x to reduce aliasing and improve audio quality.
Strum GS features A/B comparison of two different audio settings, as well as a copy and paste function between plugin instances. The plugin also has a built-in signal level and dynamics analyzer.
Strum GS is the result of years of research and development by Applied Acoustics Systems (AAS), which specializes in creating audio synthesis software. The company also produces other plugins such as Ultra Analog, Chromaphone and Lounge Lizard.
