To use the SharpKeys program you need:
- Install the SharpKeys program on your Windows computer.
- Launch the SharpKeys program and click the Add button to add a new Key remapping.
- Select or enter the Key codes you want to reassign. You can choose from a list of available Keys such as Caps Lock, Shift, Ctrl, Alt and others, or enter Key codes manually using the Type Key button. You can also select the Turn Key Off option to turn off an unnecessary Key.
- Click OK to save the Key remapping. You can add up to 104 Key remappings at once.
- Click the Write to Registry button to apply the changes to the Windows registry. You do not need to restart your computer to activate Key remapping.
- Click the Close button to close the SharpKeys program. You can run the SharpKeys program again to change or remove Key remappings.
SharpKeys runs on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10. For optimal performance of the program, it is recommended that you have administrative rights to the registry.
