Bagas31: SAS Planet is an open source program that allows you to download and view maps and satellite photos of the earth’s surface from various online mapping services. SAS Planet is available for use on Windows and Linux (using Wine). SAS Planet is used by geologists, tourists, hunters, fishermen and other people who need detailed maps of different regions.
SAS Planet supports working with different types of maps, such as satellite, topographic, political, landscape, hybrid and others. You can choose from more than 100 map layers from different services, such as Google Earth, Google Maps, Bing Maps, Yandex.Maps, Kosmosnimki and others.

SAS Planet allows you to download maps for offline viewing or use in other applications. You can download maps either by selecting a certain area (possibly non-rectangular) or while moving around the map. You can also customize the quality and scale of downloaded maps.
SAS Planet allows you to view and edit maps before saving or exporting. You can measure distances, areas and heights on the map, add markers, lines and polygons on the map, create routes and tracks on the map, add text captions and graphic objects on the map.
SAS Planet allows you to save part of the map into one image or several tile images, which you can view and process in any graphics editor or use in other GIS applications, for example, OziExplorer or Navitel. You can also export the map to KML format for use in Google Earth or Google Maps.
SAS Planet allows you to work with a GPS receiver or GPS emulator. You can connect your GPS receiver to your computer and display your current location on a map, record your track on a map or load it from a file, follow a given route on a map or load it from a file.
SAS Planet allows you to load and display additional map data from different sources. You can download and display objects from Wikimapia, Panoramio, Flightradar24 and others. You can also add your own map layers from local files or the Internet.
