Starting with R275 drivers, NVIDIA Update also provides automatic updates for game and software profiles, including SLI profiles.

How does NVIDIA Update work? Once installed on your PC, NVIDIA Update scans your hardware configuration and current driver version to determine the appropriate driver for your NVIDIA graphics card. This information is sent to NVIDIA and checked against our driver database to check for updates. You can configure how often you want NVIDIA to check for updates. You can also configure whether you want to receive notifications about beta drivers and enable or disable toast notifications in the system tray.
What information is sent to NVIDIA? NVIDIA Update does not collect any personal information. The scan collects the data needed to recommend the correct driver update, such as your graphics card, operating system, language, and current driver version.
