Bagas31: MX Linux is a Linux distribution based on the Debian stable and using the core components of antiX, with additional software created or packaged by the MX community. The development of MX Linux is a joint effort between the antiX and former MEPIS communities. It is a family of operating systems that are designed to combine elegant and efficient desktops with high stability and reliable performance.
Here is a brief description of the main features of MX Linux:
- Three different desktop options are available – Xfce (our flagship desktop), KDE (with the advanced “Plasma” desktop and a wide range of powerful applications) and Fluxbox (a lightweight and elegant desktop with tools from MX Linux).

- Extensive support is available through videos, documentation and a very friendly forum.
MX Linux is an easily bootable (Live) USB that can be created from an ISO image using the MX Live USB Maker tool. Users of other Linux distributions can download and run our Live USB Maker appimage directly from their current distribution to create a fully functional Live MX USB from any standard ISO. If you want to create a Windows-based USB, we recommend that you use Rufus, which supports our bootloader.
MX Linux has a user-friendly and familiar Microsoft® Office 2019-style interface that can be switched between traditional toolbar mode and ribbon mode. The program also supports high-resolution 4K screens and is compatible with Windows 11 and later. MX Linux includes 2 licenses for your personal commercial use. Multi-user licenses are also available for larger organizations such as businesses or educational/charitable institutions. Plus, you get free email and online support.
