General features. iZotope Relay is a low CPU consumption utility that works as a plugin for host programs that support VST, VST3, AU or AAX formats. The program supports 32-bit and 64-bit modes, and is also compatible with ASIO, Core Audio or WASAPI. The program also supports working with MIDI controllers to control parameters.
Extended capabilities. iZotope Relay allows you to adjust volume, pan, stereo, and audio filtering settings on the fly using a simple, user-friendly interface. You can use different filter modes, such as High Pass, Low Pass or Band Pass, and also adjust the filter frequency and slope.

Interaction with other plugins. iZotope Relay allows you to interact with other plugins from iZotope to automate various processes in audio processing. You can use Relay in combination with plugins such as Neutron 4, Nectar 3, VocalSynth 2 or Insight 2 to implement functions such as automatic mixing, masking removal, intelligence measurement or spectrogram visualization.
Automatic mixing. iZotope Relay allows you to use the Mix Assistant feature (available in Neutron 4) to automatically set the initial volume balance in your session. You can choose from three Mix Assistant modes: Balance (to create a balance between all tracks), Enhance (to add additional processing to tracks) or Mix (to create a full mix using Neutron 4).
Removing masking. iZotope Relay allows you to use the Unmask feature (available in Nectar 3) to automatically remove masking frequencies from your vocal track. You can choose from three operating modes for Unmask: Vocal (to remove masking from other instruments), Dialogue (to remove masking from other dialogue), or Manual (to select any track to remove masking).
Measuring intelligence. iZotope Relay allows you to use the Intelligibility Meter feature (available in Insight 2) to measure the relative intelligence of your vocals and visualize how clearly they will be heard in different types of listening environments. You can choose from four operating modes for the Intelligibility Meter: Quiet (for a quiet environment), Normal (for a normal environment), Loud (for a noisy environment), or Custom (for customizing environment settings).
Spectrogram visualization. iZotope Relay allows you to use the Spectrogram feature (available in Insight 2) to visualize the spectrum of different tracks in relation to your overall mix. You can select different colors to display different tracks on the spectrogram, and also adjust spectrogram parameters such as frequency range, resolution, contrast, etc.
