Bagas31: Boot-Repair-Disk is a rescue disk that includes the Boot Repair tool to fix common operating system boot problems. - Generate Boot-Info Diagnostics – Allows you to create a report on the status of your boot system, which you can share with power users on forums or via email to get help with your problem. The report contains information about disk partitions, file systems, GRUB settings and other parameters.
- GRUB Recovery – Allows you to reinstall GRUB on your drive and restore access to your operating systems. You can select the drive where GRUB should be installed and also change some default options such as GRUB configuration, adding kernel options (acpi=off…), clearing GRUB, changing the underlying operating system, etc.
- MBR Recovery – Allows you to recover the MBR (Master Boot Record), which is the first sector on the disk and contains the code to start the operating system. You can select the type of MBR you want to recover: standard Windows MBR or MBR from another drive. This may help you if you are unable to boot into Windows after installing Linux or another operating system.
