Program interface. MusicBrainz Picard has a simple and user-friendly interface, which consists of two panels: the files panel (contains a list of downloaded files) and the releases panel (contains a list of releases in the database). You can drag and drop files between panels to map or unmap. You can also view and edit tags for each file or release in a separate window.
Uploading files. MusicBrainz Picard allows you to load files from various sources: from a folder on your computer, from a CD, from the Internet or from another program. You can upload one or more files at the same time. You can also set filters to download only files that meet certain criteria.
File matching. MusicBrainz Picard allows you to match files to releases in the MusicBrainz database using a variety of methods: automatically (using audio fingerprints or tags), manually (using a search by title, artist or other parameters) or semi-automatically (using the scanning function).
